Numbers that speak for themselves.
What we were up against.
The client had built a powerful but complex data platform. Their homepage featured 2,400 words of copy and a 12-minute product walkthrough video. Neither was converting.
Their sales team reported that prospects would book demos but arrive without understanding the core value proposition. The qualification calls took 20 minutes longer than they should have because reps were re-explaining the basics every time.
The marketing team had tried three different agencies before us. Each delivered a generic "what we do" video that felt like an animated brochure — technically correct, but emotionally flat. Bounce rate on the homepage was 73%, and the average time on page was just 11 seconds.
They needed a video that could do the heavy lifting of their homepage copy in a format people actually wanted to watch. It had to work for their primary audience — VP-level decision-makers at mid-market companies — who have zero patience for fluff.
How we tackled it.
We started with a deep-dive discovery session with the client's CEO, Head of Product, and VP Marketing. The goal wasn't to understand what the product does — we can read a product page for that. We wanted to understand why it matters.
Through that session, we identified the core narrative tension: data teams are drowning in dashboards, and business leaders can't get the answers they need fast enough. The platform collapses that gap. That insight became the emotional backbone of the script.
We wrote three script drafts. The first was too feature-heavy. The second was too abstract. The third hit the sweet spot — opening with a visceral problem statement, building to the "aha moment" of the product's approach, and closing with a single, clear CTA.
The visual direction was inspired by editorial illustration — clean, geometric, with a limited color palette pulled directly from the brand. We avoided the typical SaaS animation trap of floating UI mockups and generic isometric illustrations.
What we delivered.
The final 90-second video follows a four-act structure:
Act 1 — The Problem (0–15s): We open on a data dashboard overload. Metrics, charts, and notifications fill the screen chaotically. The message is immediate: "Your data is everywhere. Your answers are nowhere."
Act 2 — The Shift (15–40s): We introduce the product's approach — unified intelligence. Instead of showing features, we show outcomes. A frustrated executive becomes a confident decision-maker through visual metaphors of clarity and speed.
Act 3 — The Proof (40–75s): Social proof layer — client logos, a single powerful metric ("3× faster decisions"), and a quick visual walkthrough of how the platform actually works. This is where we show the product, but only enough to build trust, not to teach.
Act 4 — The CTA (75–90s): A single, bold call to action. "See it for yourself." No filler, no hedging.
The animation style uses a custom illustration system built specifically for this project. Every visual element — from data visualizations to UI components — was hand-crafted to match the brand's design language. No stock assets, no templates.
